Letha E. Donnell Burg, 93, of Hot Springs, SD died May 2, 2014 at Castle Manor Nursing Home in Hot Springs, SD.

Letha was born December 3, 1920 in Hobbie, PA on a farm.  She grew up and educated in Wapwallopen, PA.  She married Charles Donnell in 1937 and lived in Shickshinny, PA until 1952 when they moved to Hot Springs, SD.  Letha worked at Lutheran Southern Hills General Hospital as a nurse's aide until 1985, when she retired and continued to live in Hot Springs.  Letha married Henry Burg in May of 1985. She was a faithful member of the United Churches and the American Legion Auxiliary.  Letha had worked hard all her life.

Letha was preceded in death by two children, Nora Marie Martin and William Edward Donnell; husbands, Charles Donnell; Henry Burg; four brothers, Jay Peters; Floyd Peters; Thomas Peters and Willard Peters; two sisters, Mildred Peters and Nora Peters.

She is survived by her three sons, Stanley (Amy) Donnell of Atlanta, GA; Elbert (Randie) Donnell of Idaho Falls, ID; Arthur (Jean Elizabeth) Donnell of Huron, SD; sister-in-law, Jean Donnell of Hot Springs, SD; 18 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Friday, May 16, 2014 at the United Churches in Hot Springs, SD with Pastor Clint Walker officiating.  A visitation will be held an hour prior to funeral services.  Committal services will be at the Smithwick Cemetery in Smithwick, SD.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Letha's name for the United Churches of Hot Springs, SD.
