Obituary

Lillian F. Ritschard, born August 7, 1935, to Albert and Clara Ritschard, took the name of her husband Charles Junior Jensen on February 14th, 1962. She lived a caring long vibrant life of 91 years.

She and husband “Chuck”, owned Chuck’s Super Service in Hot Springs, SD. She lived her entire life in Hot Springs, South Dakota telling many people when she would rest in Jesus she would be three blocks from the place of her birth. She loved to travel with family and friends and completed her bucket list of all 50 states when she traveled to Alaska in her 80s with all her children, whom she loved dearly. She showered them and many others with kindness and fine meals purchased with those marvelous double coupon days gone by. Her memories will be cherished for years to come and numerous lives continue to be touched by her generosity and giving of herself.

She breathed her last breath in her residence at Pine Hills Retirement Community in Hot Springs on September 7th, 2026, surrounded by family and friends while listening to some of her favorite hymns.

Her husband, daughter Glenda Joy Jensen, Alberta Dunsmore, Carleen Gratopp and Gladys Donegon slept in Christ before her. Her legacy lives on through her children, Joleen Jensen-Peterson (Jay Peterson), Bradley Jensen (Jana Jensen), Charlene Bevins (John Bevins), Douglas Jensen (Christine Jensen) and Russell Jensen (Paula Jensen), 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Any memorial donations may be given to the Hot Springs Seventh-day Adventist Church where services will be held Friday, September 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM, followed by a committal service at Evergreen Cemetery in Hot Springs.
