Obituary
Lola M. Schneider, age 94, of Custer, SD, passed away on January 6, 2015, at Custer Regional Senior Care Center in Custer.
Lola was born on February 24, 1920, in Mobridge, SD, to William and Sarah (Coope) Andrews. She grew up in Mitchell, SD, where she graduated in 1939. Lola met her husband, E.J., there and they wed on June 24, 1941. Lola and EJ had two daughters, Donna and Susan. They resided in Mitchell until they retired to Custer, SD, in 1983. Lola enjoyed traveling and fishing. One of her favorite things to do was canning and she canned everything she could get her hands on. She loved reading, playing cards, and doing crossword puzzles. Lola also dearly loved the precious time with her family and reminiscing.
Lola is preceded in death by her parents, William and Sarah Andrew; husband, E.J. Schneider; daughter, Donna Schneider; brother, Robert Andrews; and nephew, Bob Andrews.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Brad) Merriman; granddaughter, Ashley Schneider; three great grandchildren, Louis, Emma, and Shariesse all of Custer, SD; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Andrews; niece, Cindy Courtier; nephews, David and Dan Andrews; lifelong friends, John (Monica) Mathews and Kurt Solay, who she loved like a son.
Private services have been arranged.
