Obituary
Loretta Ann Lanphear, age 75, Of Custer, SD, passed away Monday, July 13, 2009 at the Custer Regional Senior Care Center in Custer.
Loretta was born May 13, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY, to Ablert and Ethel (Lohner) Schilling. She was a member of The Order of Eastern Star in Custer and Hermosa as well as being very active in the Custer community.
Loretta is survived by brothers, Robert (Martha) Schilling of Custer and Jerry (Janet) Schilling of Laurinburg, NC.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ammon "Bud" Lanphear; and brother, Jack.
Rose service provided by the Custer Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 18, 2009 at the Custer Community Church in Custer, with Pastor Bill Comfort officiating.
Interment will be at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD, at a later date.
A memorial has been established in Loretta's name to benefit the Eastern Stars Hospital in Redfield, SD.
Arrangements have been placed in the care of McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Custer. Written condolences can be made at www.mccolleyschapels.com
