Loretta Pearl Spear, age 81, of Hill City, SD, passed away on April 15, 2019, at the Custer Regional Hospital in Custer, SD.

Loretta was born on June 1, 1937, in Los Angeles, CA, to Raymond and Peral (Marks) Johnson. She married David Spear on June 23, 1957, and to this union two sons were born, Bradley and Steven.

Loretta is survived by her husband, David Spear of Hill City; sons, Bradley Spear of Redondo Beach, CA; Steven spear of Rapid City, SD; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Community Lutheran Church in Hill City, with a visitation one hour prior to services.

A memorial has been established in her name for the Hill City Community Lutheran Church.

Arrangement have been placed in the care of Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Custer.
