Lou Ann Jean Cope, 81, of Oelrichs, SD, passed away April 14, 2022, at Seven Sisters Living Center in Hot Springs, SD.

Lou Ann was born August 5, 1940, in Hudson, SD, to John and Ardith McClain.

Lou Ann is survived by her sons, John (Stacy) Cope of Oelrichs, SD; James (Tina) Cope of Fremont, NE; grandchildren, Alicia (Miles) Werner of Casper, WY; McKenzie Cope of Harrison, NE; Zane Cope of Casper, WY; Lilian Cope of Fremont, NE; great grandchildren, Tayci; Rhett; Riata and Stockton.

Preceding Lou Ann in death were her parents; John and Ardith McLain and her husband, Wayne.

It was Lou Ann's wishes that no services be held.  At a later date, Lou Ann and Wayne's ashes will be scattered from the highest point on the family ranch.

In lieu of cards or flowers, memorials may be sent to the Battle Mt. Humane Society.
