Louis Meddie 'Lou' Holman, 84, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away March 18, 2018, at the Michael J. Fitzmaurice State Veterans Home in Hot Springs.

Lou was born August 6, 1933, in Waubay, SD, to Archie and Eva Holman. Lou attended public school in Waubay. He entered the Air Force on January 10, 1951, during the Korean War and served in Suwon and Chuneon, South Korea, and Iceland until being honorably discharged October 15, 1954 as an Airman First Class. Lou was united in marriage to Clarice Burchardt in 1956, and together they raised 6 children.

Lou loved sharing stories, recording family history, visiting with his grandkids, spending time in his yard, woodworking and going out for coffee with friends. He was well liked in the community and had many friends.

Lou is survived by his children, Lee and Kathy Holman of Roseville, CA; Luke Holman of Cheyenne, Wy; Lisa and Wade Hubbard of Pierre, SD; Lori Holman of Cheyenne, WY; Leslie Holman of Hot Springs; Lynne Holman of Cheyenne, WY; as well as all his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held 6:00 p.m., Friday, March 23, 2018, at Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home with Chaplain Morris Nelson officiating.
