Lucille V. Egly, age 78, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away on December 31, 2015, at the Michael J. Fitzmaurice South Dakota Veterans State Home in Hot Springs.

Lucille was born on April 9, 1937, in Marsland, NE, to Henry and Hazel (Ball) Clark. She graduated from Hemingford High School in 1955. Lucille met Don Egly at a High School Rodeo Dance in Harrison, NE; they were married on November 27, 1959. After high school she became a Telephone Operator in Crawford, NE. She worked at Crestview Manor, in Chadron, NE, as a CNA before moving to the State Home in Hot Springs. Lucille was a 4-H Leader for the Oelrichs Sunbeams and Rays for several years.

She enjoyed baking, bunko, stamp collecting, coin collecting, and playing cards with the grandkids. Lucille will be remembered for being reliable, consistent, inquisitive, hard-working and strong-willed spirit.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Donald Egly of Hot Springs, sons, Roger (Sue) Egly of Oelrichs, SD; LaVern (Sandy) Egly of Blunt, SD; daughter, Melinda (Paul) Johnson of Hermosa, SD; brother, Ronald (Neoma) Clark of Alliance; 7 grandchildren and 8 Great grandchildren.

Lucille is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Hazel Clark; brothers, George and Eldon.

A memorial has been established in Lucille's name to benefit the Oelrichs Fire or Ambulance Department.

Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at the Michael J. Fitzmaurice State Home Auditorium in Hot Springs with Pastor Deb Grismer officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
