Lucille 'Mike' Kirkpatrick, age 76, of Hot Springs, SD passed away January 24, 2008 at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD.

Mike was born in Valentine, NE, November 23, 1931 to Ed and Edna Ogle. After graduating High School she attended Nursing School in Alliance, NE and received her LPN license. Mike married Roy J. Kirkpatrick on September 13, 1952 in Chadron, NE.
To this union four boys were born. Mike worked as a nurse for Chadron Community Hospital and Crestview Manor in Chadron, NE. After the death of Roy, she moved to Hot Springs and continued her career at Southern Hills Hospital and the Veterans Administration Medical Center.

Mike took great caring pleasure in family and friends. She liked her Country Music Jamboree and was a very loving and caring person. She will be greatly missed by us all.

She was preceded in death by husband, Roy in 1988; one son, Gary in 1998; her parents; three brothers and two grandsons.

Survivors include special friend, Donald Gluhm of Hot Springs; three sons, Calvin (Doreen) Kirkpatrick of Scottsbluff, NE; David (Kris) Kirkpatrick of Bigelow AR; Gregg Kirkpatrick of Hot Springs, SD; two brothers, Doug Griffith of Brechenridge, TX; Gary Griffith of Brechenridge, TX; one sister, Betty House of Spokane, WA; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and three very special people, Sharon Griffith of Alliance, NE; Sandy Hermanson of Hay Springs, NE and Janice Johnston of Sturgis, SD.

Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 28, 2008 at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs with Pastor Morris Nelson officiating.
