Lyle Bruce Moen 83 of Hot Springs, SD passed away on September 11, 2026. Lyle was born November 1,1942, in Rugby, ND, to Lawrence and June (Kaldor) Moen. He graduated from Rugby High School, then went on to Forestry School in Bottineau, ND.

On April 2, 1964, Lyle enlisted in the United States Army. While enlisted he got married to Carol (Brandt) Moen in December 1964. He was honorably discharged from the Army in April 1966. While they were married, they had 3 children Cheryl Moen ,Stewart Moen, and Brenda (Moen) Thomas. They made their home around Knox, ND where they ran a farm until 1977. They moved to Hot Springs, SD in 1978 where he was an appliance repair man at Southern Hills Appliance, then co-owner of Home Appliance Center. They divorced in 1987. Lyle moved to Colorado Springs, CO and became a maintenance manager for several apartment complexes. He married Patty Lee (Lynn) Moen in May 1992, and upon retirement moved to Hot Springs, SD.

He was preceded in death by his father Lawrence Moen, mother June (Kaldor) Moen, daughter Cheryl Moen, wife Patty Moen and Brother-in-law Byron Luchau.

Lyle is survived by his children Stewart Moen of Maryville, TN and Brenda (Terry) Thomas of Hot Springs, SD, his sister Pam Luchau of Hot Springs, multiple step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, step nephews, step nieces, and many extended loving family members and friends.

At Lyle’s request no funeral will be held.
