Obituary
Marian E. Lutes, age 89, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away May 31, 2011, at Rapid City Hospice House in Rapid City, SD.
Marian was born January 14, 1922 in Sturgis, SD, to Ralph Monroe and Daisie Hope (Wrightson) Estes. She married William Dale 'Tuck' Lutes on October 6, 1947, in Cheyenne, WY. Marian was employed as a medical administrative assistant at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Hot Springs for thirty years prior to her retirement in 1984.
Marian was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, B.P.O.E. Does and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 3, 2011 at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD.
Marian is survived by her sister, Dottie M. Peters of Savanna, IL; nephews, Gary Peters of Angola, IN; Billy White of Fairfield, IA; nieces, Catherine Deaderick of St. Augustine, FL; Joyce Nelms of Fairfield, IA; Jerry Rizzi of Oaklan, OR; Diane Peters of Savanna, IL; and Bonnie Sluck of Rapid City, SD.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband and sister, Fern Flesner.
