Obituary
Marianne Elizabeth Lawrence, age 77, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away September 17, 2015, at the Rapid City Regional Hospice House in Rapid City, SD.
Marianne was born on September 23, 1937, to Andreas and Maria (Bardischewski) Bludau, in Herne, Germany. She immigrated to America in 1960 and married Thomas Richard Lawrence in Hot Springs and became a US citizen in 1973. Together they raised three girls and lived many places including Montana, Wyoming and Colorado. Marianne was known for her excellent cooking, love of gardening and lively political debate.
Marianne is survived by her daughters, Marjorie (Kurt) White, of Powell, WY; Kay (Randy) Raile of Cody, WY; Lisa Cosat of Hot Springs, sister, Annegret Roesler of Germany; niece, Claudia Haring; four grandsons and a great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Visitation will be held in Palisade, CO, at Palisades Funeral Home from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 24, 2015.
Committal services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 25, at the Eagalite Cemetery near Collbran, CO.
