Marjorie D. "Marjie" Sautter, 101, formally of Hot Springs SD, died March 21, 2007 at Custer Regional Senior Care Center in Custer, SD.
Marjie was born November 22, 1905 to John and May (Wilkes) Leivli in Fullerton, NE. She attended grade school and graduated from high school in Scotia, NE. Marjie married her husband, Lloyd Sautter in Greeley, NE in 1928 and as a married couple they moved to Hot Springs, SD in 1933. In Hot Springs Marjorie and Lloyd owned and operated the Gibson Apartments and also a sandwich shop. Marjie also worked at Model Fashions for 4 years and the Bakery for 4 years becoming well known to many.
Marjie was a member of the Hot Springs Senior Citizens Center and the Methodist Church of The United Churches.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Survivors include one daughter, Dixie L. (John) Cunningham of Hot Springs, SD, three grandchildren; eight great grandchildren as well as nine and three quarters great, great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established in Marjorie's name to benefit the Hot Springs Senior Citizens Center in Hot Springs, SD.
Marjorie was preceded in death by husband, Lloyd, her parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
Arrangements have been placed in McColley's Chapels of the Hills in Hot Springs, SD.
