A celebration of Marty's life will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Hot Springs, SD.

Martin Eugene Dahl, 74, of Hot Springs, SD, passed way August 11, 2024.  Marty was born December 31, 1949, to Roy and Jeanette Dahl.  He was the 8th of 9 siblings.

After high school, Marty joined the U.S. Navy and proudly served four years until his honorable discharge.  He traveled and moved around a lot before meeting and marrying Ann Jenniges in 1971 and settling down in his beloved Hot Springs.

Marty was a painter and journeyman by trade and a school bus driver for many years. Marty took pride in his work ethic and making sure any job he performed was well done.

He was a lifelong Minnesota Vikings fan and animal lover, as well as loving all things having to do with cars and trucks!  He was always talking about his vehicles with such pride.

Marty is survived by his best friend (who is also his beloved sister), Shirley; Shirley's husband, Don; numerous cousins; nieces; nephews as well as a daughter, Jessica and Jessica's children, Evelyn and Emmitt.  Marty was very grateful for his good friends, Clinton and Jarvis.

He was preceded by his beloved wife, Ann; his parents and seven siblings.
