Marvin Glen Underwood, 85, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away March 11, 2022, at the Michael J. Fitzmaurice State Veterans Home in Hot Springs, SD.

Marvin was born September 22, 1936, in Alliance, NE, to Ed and Lillian (Robinson) Underwood. He and Marcene Long were married in 1959 and to their union 3 children were born.  Marvin proudly served in the U.S. Navy until his honorable discharge in 1962.   Marvin's career as a switchman and conductor, with Burlington Northern Rail Road, spanned 39 years.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Marcene of Hot Springs, SD; son, Jeffrey (May) Underwood of Kansas City, MO; daughters, Lori White of Alliance, NE; Debbie (Clifford) Goodro of Custer, SD; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Committal services will be held in the near future at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD, with full military honors presented.
