Obituary
Mary Ellen Cummings, 68, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010, at the Fall River Hospital in Hot Springs.
Mary was born February 12, 1942, in Garden Grove, IA, to Morgan and Mary Ione (Scott) Jones. She attended high school in Hudson, SD. On January 17, 1959, she married Howard Brunner in Luverne, MN, on September 9, 1974, she married Walter Welk in Keystone, SD, and on March 9, 1989, she married Dennis Cummings in Edgemont. Mary worked in cafés in Rockerville, SD, Keystone, and Hot Springs. She also owned a restaurant and bar in Edgemont, SD.
Mary was a member of the Eagles Club in Edgemont. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, , music, spending time at the lake and meeting people.
Mary is survived by her husband, Dennis Cummings of Hot Springs; son, Martin Brunner of San Diego, CA; daughter, Jan Beeman of Hot Springs; mother, Mary Jones of Madrid, IA; brother, Joe (Gloria) Jones of Tularosa, NM; sister, Mardel (Lee) Crawford of Alleman, IA; three grandchildren, Holly (Brian) Pickens of Rapid City, SD; Dawn Headman of Mitchell, SD; Jarod Brunner of San Diego, CA; and four great grandchildren, Cuma; Chiara; Jolie and Corbin.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
