Mary Beth Elizabeth Wilson (Ramirez) Ghost, 64, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away February 23, 2017, at the Hospice House in Rapid City, SD, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mary Beth was born on April 1, 1952, in Hot Springs, to George and Lucy (Rossenecht) Wilson.
Mrs. Ghost graduated from Hot Springs High School and then continued her education in Helena, MT, where she earned a Bachelor's of Science in Medical Records. Mrs. Ghost worked for the Pine Ridge Health Care System in the mid-80's for a number of years before transferring to the VA Medical Center where she retired after approximately 37 years of service in early 2013. In retirement Mrs. Ghost, did not sit still well and began working at the Black Hills Family Health Clinic in Hot Springs.
Mrs. Ghost will be remembered for her endless work in support of Veterans rights.
Mary Beth was the beloved wife of surviving Burgess Ghost. She is also survived by her daughter, Lucienda (Robert) Metcalf of Columbia, MD; step-daughter, Shannon Ghost of Rapid City; brothers, Dennis (Mary) Wilson of Hot Springs; Bobby (Carol) Wilson of Casa Grande, AZ; Kenny (Judy) Wilson of Rhinelander, WI; sisters, Barbara (Lance) Hinek of Bishop, CA; Alyce Bennett of Hot Springs; and four grandchildren.
A Vigil will be held 7:00 pm, Friday, March 10, 2017, at St. Anthony's of Padua Catholic Church in Hot Springs, with Deacon Tom Adams.
A Christian Funeral Liturgy will be held 10:00 am, March 11, 2017, at St. Anthony's of Padua Catholic Church in Hot Springs, SD, with Deacon Craig Pearson. Committal services will follow at the Fairview Cemetery near Oral, SD.
