Mary Jane Baltz Seegrist Sexton
June 16, 1923 to January 28, 2009

Mary Jane Seegrist, age 85, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away January 28, 2009 at the State Veteran's Home in Hot Springs.

Mary Jane was born and raised in Box Butte County, NE. She graduated from Sioux County High School, taught rural school and was a telephone switchboard operator for several years before her marriage to Warren E. Seegrist. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother and lived and worked in and around the Crawford and Chadron area most all of her life.

Mary Jane loved knitting, crocheting, crafts, reading, playing card games and collecting bells and teapots.

Survivors include sons, Loren (Patricia) Seegrist of Hot Springs; Duiane (Zeek) Seegrist of Crawford, NE; grandchildren, Kurt (Tonya) Seegrist; Brenda and Tanya Seegrist; Dustin (Vanessa) Seegrist; Chad (Cynthia) Thielen; Jeff (Callie) Thielen; Jeremy (Hedi) Thielen and nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 2, 2009 at the Crawford Cemetery, Crawford, NE with Pastor Bill Hallsted officiating.
