MaryAnn "Dodie" Patton Peterson, 73, of Hot Springs, S.D. died February 13, 2007 at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, S.D.

MaryAnn was born in Pine Ridge, S.D. on October 17, 1933. At the age of 10 she moved to Igloo, S.D.

MaryAnn married Orris Peterson and had 5 children; Donna Diane, Rose Marie, twins; Deborha Suzanne, Delbert Duane (deceased at birth) and Delbert Roy.

MaryAnn was a homemaker and was an expert at baking homemade breads as well as the family meals. She also was a seamstress and made western apparel and clothing for her husband and children. MaryAnn loved to bowl, she was on numerous leagues and won many trophies. She was an avid golfer using only four different clubs, a putter, #5 iron, #9 iron and #3 wood driver.

She is survived by her husband, Orris Peteson of Hot Springs, SD; son, Delbert R. Peterson of Rapid City, SD; three daughters, Donna Venard of Hot Springs, SD; Rose Millar of Hot Springs, SD; Deborha Harrington of Edgemont, SD; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Laura Patton, three brothers; William, Norbert, Charles, five sisters; Clara, Pearl, Cecilia, Irene and Lucille.

Wake and Rosary services will be held 7:00 pm, Friday, February 16, 2007 at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Hot Springs, SD.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, February 17, 2007 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Hot Springs, SD with Father Peter Kovarik officiating.

Interment will be held at the Black Hills National Cemetery at a later date.
