Obituary
Mavis J. Degnan, age 78, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away June 9, 2012, at the Rapid City Regional Hospice House in Rapid City, SD.
Mavis was born in Sioux Falls, SD on December 9, 1933, to Otis and Bessie (Volkmann) Simkins.
Mavis is survived by her son, Robert Lyons of Bothell, WA; daughter, Christine (George) Hernandez of Albuquerque, NM; brothers, Harold (Dolores) Simkins of Sioux Falls, SD; Darrel Simkins of Sioux Falls; Merlin (Elaine) Simkins of Reno, NV and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs.
Interment will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD.
Arrangements have been placed in the care of McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs. Written condolences may be made at www.mccolleyschapels.com.
