May D. Darling, age 78, of Rapid City, SD, passed away on November 9, 2016, at the Custer Regional Senior Care Center in Custer.
May was born on June 24, 1938, in Rapid City, SD, to Benjamin and Virginia (Knisley) McFarland.
She is survived by her sons, Johnny James Darling of Rapid City, SD; Robert Darling Jr. of Rapid City, SD; brothers, Harry McFarland of Memphis, TN; Lyle McFarland of Japan; sisters, Ida Darling of Rapid City, SD; Rose Jackson of Mt. Vernon, SD; Carol Struble of Belle Fouche, SD; six grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
May is preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Darling and son, Phillip.
A family committal services will be held on Friday, November 18, 2016, at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
