Millard Junior Murphy, also known to his friends as Pat Murphy, age 86, of Oelrichs, SD, passed away October 13, 2014, at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Millard was born January 17, 1928, in Christiansburg, OH, to Millard H. and Gladdia (Beair) Murphy.
He is survived by his son, Pat Junior Murphy (Virginia) of Hot Springs, SD; daughters, Susan (Mark) Henslee of Phoenix, AZ; Dixie Spinnell of Venice, FL; brother, Charles R. (Helen) Murphy of Piqua, OH; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Millard was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and three sisters.
Millard's life interests were his music and car racing.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 24, 2014, at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs.
