Mitchell Jay 'Mick' Anderson, 57, passed away January 8, 2018, at this home near Hot Springs, SD.

Mick was born February 8, 1960, to Jay and Betty (Brown) Anderson in Sioux Falls, SD. He was raised in Larchwood, IA, and attended West Lyon School. He graduated in 1978. Mick worked with his father doing carpenter work until 1980, then went to work for Ralph VanDenHul. In 1980, he was burned in a fire at the Baltic Elevator Fire. Mick spent 100 days in the Burn Center in St. Paul. He then came home and went through many days of Therapy in Sioux Falls. Mick lived in different places and then built a house on a Farm in New Canton, SD. Mick moved to Custer, in 1994.

His mother will cherish the countless memories as well as Carol (Bill) Van Gammeren, Evelyn Brown, many cousins and of course his German Shepard, Scooter, and Izzy the Corgy.

He will be missed by everyone.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jay; sister, Lisa Marie; grandparents, Floyd and Emma Brown as well as Ed and Irene Anderson.

Spreading of his ashes will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Kirk Hall's Ranch near Edgemont, SD.
