Mitchell Kleppe, 34, of Hot Springs, passed away peacefully at his family's home into the arms of his Heavenly Father on January 27, 2016, surrounded by his loving family following a short, but courageous battle with cancer.
Mitchell was born January 16, 1982, in Hot Springs and spent his entire life in Hot Springs. He was part of a big loving family. Mitchell faced many challenges in life but he overcame the obstacles and graduated from Hot Springs High School and became very much a part of the Hot Springs community. He was often seen cruising main—his favorite pastime—and he always knew all of the latest town news. Mitchell was a friend to many in the Hot Springs community and he was always willing to help, especially several of the elderly and special friends who called on him. In return, Hot Springs embraced Mitchell and accepted him as the "gentle giant" that he was.
Mitchell is survived by his father, Dick Kleppe; mother, DeElda McPherson; step-father, Sande McPherson; brothers, Matthew Kleppe and Blake McPherson; sisters, Shirleine (Shane) Neiderworder, Kristine Kleppe, and Sandra (Joe) Golliher; two nephews, Dawson and Kolten, and one niece Katelyn.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 6, 2016, at the Hot Springs Wesleyan Church, 2046 Canton Avenue, with Pastor Matt Shulaw officiating.
