Myrle M. Caylor, age 93, of Edgemont, SD died February 9, 2014 at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Myrle was born November 4, 1920 in Chicago, IL to Leroy Countryman and Jenny (Lacy) Countryman.
Those of you in Edgemont may not know her by name. You may not even recognize her face. But that doesn't mean she hasn't touched your life. You may have been blessed by her kindness as the "cookie lady." Or you may have enjoyed the beauty she created as the "flower lady."
Heaven rejoices today at the return of one of theirs. While those left behind mourn the passing of a woman who always made a difference to those around her. She used sunshine and smiles to warm the hearts of those she knew. And cookies and flowers to those she didn't. Perhaps now she will finally understand what a blessing she was to all of us and see the wings on her shoulders that all of us have known were there all along.
Survivors include her son, Rick Caylor of Torrington, WY; Daughters, JoAnn Kuhnel of Keystone, SD; Delores Vik of Newcastle, WY; Patricia Dressler of Owanka, SD; Janet Caylor of Custer, SD; 9 Grandchildren and numerous Great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, Clinton; parents, Leroy and Jenny (Lacy) Countryman.
Mass of Christian burial will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 15, 2014 at St. James Catholic Church in Edgemont, SD., with Father Kerry Prendiville officiating.
The family would like to thank you and invite you to join them for a time of fellowship at St. James Parish Hall immediately following the memorial service.
A memorial has been established in Myrle's name for the Edgemont Ambulance Service.
