Norma L Voss of Hot Springs SD,formerly of Deadwood SD, passed away on March 14, 2025 surrounded by family.

Norma was born August 23, 1932 in Hay Springs, NE to John and Hattie Gaskin.  As a young child, she moved with her parents to Lead, SD.

While attending high school in Lead, she met the love of her life, James Voss. They were united in marriage May 30, 1952. To this union five children were born. After years of working many jobs and raising five kids in Grizzly Gulch, Norma & Jim were finally able to retire and spent 23 more years together wintering in Apache Junction, AZ until the passing of Jim in 2014. Norma was able to continue wintering in Arizona for another 6 years before declining health kept her back home closer to family.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband Jim, parents John & Hattie, sister Delores Miller and grandson Lynn Stuen.

She is survived by her 5 children: Beverly (Wayne) Stuen of Spearfish SD, Bonnie (Tim) Fast of Hot Springs SD, Barb Rave (Steve Spicer) of Rapid City SD, Brenda (Kris) Eighmy of Bushnell SD, and Brian (Deb) Voss of Custer SD, 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren, sister Lois Miller and brother Gerald (Faye) Gaskin.

A celebration of Norma's life will be held at a later date.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the wonderful staff at Pine Hills Senior Living in Hot Springs, the caregivers at Fall River Health Services and Stillwater Hospice.
