Obituary

Owen Wilson, age 94, passed away in Fall River Hospital on June 3, 2007. He was born on June 7, 2007 in Omaha, Nebraska to Thomas and Zona Hudspeth Wilson.

Owen's early schooling was in Hot Springs, St. Martins, Sturgis and like schools in Alliance and Rushville, NE. He attended the Lincoln School of Aviation and became a pilot at age 17.

Owen served six years in the Navy 1927 to 1935. He also served in the Coast Guard during World War II. One of the awards he received during this time was the Air Medal. He was then employed as an airport control tower operator and assistant superintendent at the Long Beach Airport in California. His last employment was with the Union Pacific Railroad.

Owen is survived by his wife, Marie; two grandsons, Thomas Priddy of Montrose, CO; James Priddy of Augusta, KS; 4 great grandchildren, Tammy, Michelle, Jason, Autumn; and 4 great great grandchildren, Mercedes, MaKenna, MaKenzie and Elizabeth.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Beverly Priddy, 3 brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, June 7, 2007 at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 8, 2007 at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs, with Rev. Peter Dahlberg officiating. Committal Services will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Hot Springs. Military Honors will be provided by the Hot Springs Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the South Dakota Lyons Eye Bank.
