Pauline Mae Goodwin, age 82, of Custer, SD, passed away on August 23, 2014, at the Custer Regional Senior Care Center in Custer, SD.
Pauline was born in Custer, SD, on September 20, 1931, to Robert William and Grace Etta (O'Connor) Evans. Pauline married Lawrence Goodwin on Feb 2, 1952, to this union 4 children were born.
Pauline was employed at Custer Community Hospital for 29 years before retiring. She knit and crocheted the most beautiful afghans and sweaters for her family and friends. She liked to read and bake, her favorite time of the day was the morning.
She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother, Robert J.R. Evans.
Survivors include sons, Steven L. (Sandy) Goodwin of New Castle, WY; Michael R. (Nancy) Goodwin of Custer, SD; Timothy D. Goodwin of Spearfish, SD; daughter, Linda L. Goodwin (Warren Falzerano) of Belle Fourche, SD; sisters, Betty J. (Richard) Weig of Rapid City, SD; Jerri S. (Ronald) Burrow of El Sobrante, CA; sister-in-law, Joann Evans of Custer, SD; 9 grandchildren; Jeffrey, Tara, Matthew, Tony, Jennifer, Michelle ,Courtney, Brett and Casey. and 15 great grandchildren.
Per Pauline's request a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
A memorial has been established in Pauline's name and may be sent in care to Michael Goodwin, 12086 Big Pine Road, Custer, SD 57730.
