Randy Lee Webster, age 55, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away July 10, 2013, at the Fall River Hospital in Hot Springs.
Randy was born July 1, 1958, in Deadwood, SD, to Duane and Corinne (Conlon) Webster. At the age of 10, Randy and his family moved to Custer State Park where he attended the Custer State Park School.
Growing up in the Park, Randy spent hours fishing, hiking, and harassing the wildlife.
He attended Custer Junior High where he discovered another love – wrestling. He began with the Custer High School Varsity team as an 8th grader, qualifying and placing at the State Wrestling Tournament several years. In high school, Randy pursued another passion, bull riding. Bull Riding was a lifelong love along with a love of everything country. Randy could jitterbug with the best of them and in 1975, he met his dance partner for life, Gerri Sites, who was camped with her parents at Custer State Park.
Gerri and Randy were married February 26, 1977 in her parent's home in Colorado Springs, CO. That union lasted 36 years until Randy's passing. Randy and Gerri were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Ashley on June 6, 1985. Randy said it was the happiest day of his life. That happiness was rivaled as Ashley and her husband, Benjamin Von Eye, added two grandchildren to the family, Emalee Grace and Lane Henry.
Randy is survived by his wife, Gerri of Hot Springs; daughter, Ashley and her husband, Benjamin Von Eye of Box Elder, SD; grandchildren, Emalee and Lane; parents, Duane and Corinne Webster of Hermosa, SD; brother, Ray Webster and his wife Sheri of Custer, SD.
Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2013, at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs with Sheri Webster officiating.
