Obituary
Rex T. Barney, 82, of Rapid City, died Monday, March 9, 2009, at the State Veterans Home in Hot Springs.
Survivors include his wife, Colleen Barney, Rapid City; four sons, Robert Barney and Kim Barney both of Wash., and Monte Barney and Kory Barney, both of Rapid City; five daughters, Shirleen Barney, Ariz., Penny Wellman and Robin Klock, both of Rapid City, Fawn Conrad, Wyo., and Kama Stuart, Bothell, Wash.; eighteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Russell Barney and Jerome Barney; two sisters, MarGret Barney and Helen Sutley; and his step-mother, Helen Barney.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 13, 2009 at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
Arrangements have been placed in the care of McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs. Written condolences can be made at www.mccolleyschapels.com.
