Rhonda Gay Murray, that name brings many different stories to many minds! She not only touched but grasped the hearts and lives of many! How? Rhonda always had a smile, with wonderful laughter. Her thoughtful acts of kindness, her devotion to Jehovah and a willingness to laugh at herself and others!!
How to restrict her whole life to a page is impossible, but here is a brief on this very special wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.
Rhonda was born in Rapid City, SD on May 29, 1956 to Edwin and Maxine (Andersen) Stocke. They raised her, her two sisters and brother in Sparks, NV. Her childhood stories mainly consist of her corky, fun and playful disposition, always bringing smiles and good gut laughs to those around her!
This one of a kind wife shared her life with Tom, who lovingly he called "Fred"! Starting on October 11, 1980, they enjoyed a marriage of 32 years. Half of that time was spent drinking their coffee together! They welcomed their son, Beau on October 30, 1981. His mama was proud of the boy he was and the man he has become. Their daughter, Chelsea was born January 31, 1984. They equally shared the title "best friends". I've been told the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I am grateful to my mom for helping build the person I am. Rhonda also had the extra privilege to help raise her step-daughter, Angela. She loved her just as a mom, in return that's what Angela called her "mom".
Grandbabies, she loved her grandbabies! The common spoiling always took place, but what they really loved doing regularly together was playing make-up and hair! Not an easy task on Grammy's part, this entailed some pulled hair and caked on make-up!
Most of all what governed Rhonda's life was her God, Jehovah. She dedicated her life to Jehovah by water baptism on April 22, 1989. From that point on her life work was to share bible truths with as many as she could. Seven years ago she was able to volunteer at least 70 hours a month to this work she believed in, to help others come to know the true God of the bible. She knew that death is just a time of sleep. Ecclesiastes 9:5,10 and that she will be resurrected to a paradise earth. Psalms 37:10,11 & 29.
Rhonda deeply cared for her family and had many friends that became part of her family! Overall, laughter surrounded her life. The words "what" & "really" will not soon be forgotten!
