Richard 'Rick' Lee Green, age 52, formerly of Hot Springs, SD passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at his home in Rapid City, SD.

Rick was born in Chadron, Nebraska on December 26, 1955 to Foster and Dorothy (McCullah) Green. He attended school in Hot Springs and graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1974 he went on to attend the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. Rick worked all his life as a Chef in numerous locations, but always preferred the ski areas especially Steamboat Springs, CO.

He loved the out doors and always relaxed by fishing. Rick had an amazing gift in choosing friends, they were all loving, caring people.

Richard is survived by one sister, Deborah Green of Hermosa, SD; three aunts, Norma Armstrong of Denver, CO; Lorraine Green of Crawford, NE; Phyllis (Harold) Henningsen of Richmond, VA; one uncle, Lt. Col. Carroll McCullah (Retired) and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Foster and Dorothy Green and one brother,
Foster A. Green.

Visitation will be from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m., Monday, June 2, 2008 at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs with Pastor Morris Nelson officiating. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m., June 3, 2008 at Fairview Cemetery in Rushville, NE.
