Richard Henry Slavik, age 76, of Hill City, SD, passed away on December 16, 2014, at the Custer Regional Care Center in Custer, SD.
Richard was born in Toledo, OH, on October 14, 1938, to John and Frances (Motycka) Slavik. He served in the Air Force from 1956-1961. Richard made a career as a feed truck driver for various companies.
His is survived by his wife, Carol Slavik of Hill City, and her children, Richard (Jen) Ehmann of Rapid City, SD; Diane (David) Rose of Palmer, AK; Shari (Jeff) Ellison of Anchor Point, AK; brother, Emil Slavik of Luckey, OH; grandchildren, Kristy Rose; Jessica Rose; Taylor Ellison; Tori Ellison; Justin Ellison; Sophie Ellison; Faith Ehmann; Cassie Ehmann; and one great grandchild, Claire Larson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 20, 2014, at St. Johns the Baptist Catholic Church, in Custer, with Fr. Kerry Prendiville officiating.
