Obituary
Rita McDermand, 72, of Spearfish and formerly of Custer, passed away on January 17, 2014 at the David M. Dorsett Healthcare Center in Spearfish, SD.
Rita was born on March 5th 1941 to Dale and Deana McDermand. She grew up in Custer and graduated from Custer High School. Rita married Harold Keupp in 1958, and had two children, Brett and Shelly.
Rita is survived by her two children, Brett of Tampa, FL; Shelly of Pearland, TX; two grandchildren, Hailey and Carly, and her sister Marjorie Treat of Grand Junction, CO.
Her death was preceded by her parents, Dale and Deana McDermand.
Rita had a gentle spirit which reflected in the love for her family and the friends she made, she will truly be missed by many.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 25, 2014, at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Custer. Interment will follow at the Custer Cemetery.
