Robert Leo 'Bob' Hillard, age 73, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away December 14, 2013, at Rapid Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD.

Bob was born April 11, 1940, in Mitchell, SD, to Andrew and Ann (Matthews) Hillard.

He married Candice Hettich on June 10, 1978, in Huron, SD, and moved to Hot Springs shortly after that. Bob loved to hunt and fish with family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, especially playing games with them.

Bob is survived by his wife, Candice; stepson, Jacob (Ceilo) Anderson of San Diego, CA; stepdaughter, Christie (Forrest) Halls of Hot Springs; brothers, Don Hillard of Kalispell, WY; Rick Hillard of Sioux Falls, SD; Randy Hillard of Panama City, FL; sister, Lila (Gordon) Osterloo of Mitchell, SD; seven grandchildren, Mathew, Kaitlyn, Larissa and Logan of Hot Springs, and Nicole, Cloe and Theo of San Diego.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 4, 2014, at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs with Pastor Gary Jacobson officiating.

A memorial has been established in Bob's name to benefit the Special Olympics.
