Robert "Shane" Jackson, 38, passed away Friday, April 13, 2007 in his Sioux Falls home from Diabetic complications.
Shane was born in Hot Springs, SD on February 18, 1969 to Robert Jackson and Rose Mary McFarland Jackson. He graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1987 and went on to attend USD for Business. Shane was currently employed by D.T.S., Inc. in Tea, SD as a skilled welder and craftsman. He greatly enjoyed the outdoors and had a passion in life for fishing and hunting. Shane's passion included sports, especially watching football of which he was an avid Seattle Seahawks fan.
He is survived by his mother and father, Robert and Rose Jackson of Artesian,SD; brother; Alex, a niece; Shannara and nephew; Tylendel, all of Artesian, SD, a sister, Laura Burgess, brother in-law Kevin Burgess, both of Mt. Vernon, SD, many aunts, uncles, cousins and lots of friends. He will be dearly missed but he is "GONE FISHIN."
Shane is preceded in death by his grandparents and an infant brother; Albert Jackson.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, April 20, 2007 a McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs, SD.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 21, 2007 at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs, SD, with Pastor Kevin Clark officiating.
