Rodney Wayne "Butch" Hiermeier, 76, of Custer, SD, peacefully passed away September 2, 2022, at home with his family at his side.

Butch was born December 13, 1945, in Hot Springs, SD, to Melvin and Ruby (Blessing) Hiermeier.  Butch spent over 50 years contributing to the operation of Hiermeier Trucking with his dad and brothers.

He is survived by his sons, Brian (Lora) Harbison of Rapid City, SD; Jason (Amber) Hiermeier of Rapid City; daughter, Jennifer (Dusty) Hadlock of Custer; brother, Ronald Hiermeier of Custer; stepfather, Wayne Crofutt of Little Rock, CA; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Predeceasing Butch were his father, Mel and Linda Hiermeier and his mother, Ruby Crofutt; his daughter, Angela Hiermeier; his son, Jerad Hiermeier and his brother, Melvin K. "Rick" Hiermeier.

Per Butch's request, no services will be held.

Arrangements have been placed under the local direction of Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Custer, SD.
