Ronald Lee Boortz, 75, of Edgemont, SD, passed away on January 29, 2019, at his residence in Edgemont.

Ronald was born May 9, 1943, in Gregory, SD, to Henry and Mildred (Audiss) Boortz.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Janet of Edgemont; daughters, Deborah (David) Zacharias of Long Pine, NE; Brenda (Bret) Love of Norfolk, NE; brother, Eugene Boortz of Fort Collins, CO; sister, Vickie (Melvin) Peck of Burke, SD; grandchildren, Emily (Shamos) Collins of Lincoln, NE; Katie (Spencer) Shifflet of Arapahoe, NE; Amy (Jake) Fisher of Norfolk; Nathan Love of Norfolk; and great grandchildren, Aurora, Avery, Alexander, Konner, Kaden and Kyleigh.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Kotrba-Smith Funeral Home in Gregory, SD.  Committal services will be held following at IOOF Cemetery in Gregory.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Ronald's name to benefit the Gregory County 4-H Club.
