Ronald R. 'Ron' Richmeier, 70, passed away September 1, 2017, at his home in Hill City, SD.

Ron was born February 2, 1947, in Quinter, KS, to Raymond and Helen Richmeier. He married Sharon Sanders on May 18, 1968, in Englewood, CO, and they would have celebrated their 50th anniversary next year. In 2008, Ron moved to Hill City after retiring from Parker Industries in Alliance, NE. He was an avid Broncos and Rockies fan as well as a history buff. Ron enjoyed playing cards and he enjoyed his grandchildren, Taylor; Brady; Kaitlynn; Jacob and Blake.

Ron is survived by his wife, Sharon of Hill City; daughters, Sheralin Groves of Hill City; Denise Radke and husband, Matt, of Ogallala, NE; Tara Harris and husband, Jamie of Hill City; and Kristal Engelhaupt and husband, Jeff of Alliance.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jack; father-in-law, Linus Sanders and parents-in-law, Dan and Anna Sander.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 9, 2017; at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Hill City. Committal services will follow at the Hill City Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in Ron's name to benefit "HOPE" Helping Our People Excel Food Pantry, 3940 S. Broadway, Englewood, CO 80113.
