Ronald Edwin Wilson, age 74, of Custer, SD, died on February 12, 2018, at the Custer Regional Hospital in Custer.
Ronald was born in Inglewood, CA, April 11, 1943, to West and Esther (Zimba) Wilson. Ronald was taken far too soon from his wife, Martha, of 49 years and from his three sons, John; Scott and Eric. When the boys were growing up he volunteered his time as an athletic director so he could be a part of their youth football days. Ronald was a proud and doting grandfather of eleven and a great grandfather of three precious children. He so loved spending time with his grandchildren, watching them grow up and have children of their own. Ronald was an intelligent, hardworking, creative man who loved working with his hands. This was evident when he built a home from the ground up in Temecula, CA, where he and Martha lived before moving to South Dakota in 2016.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Martha (Phillips) Wilson of Custer; sons, Eric E. Wilson of Custer; John J. (Ann) Adelhelm of Corona, CA; Lloyd Scott (Irene) Adelhelm of Marietta, CA; brother, James West (Jeanne) Wilson of Dewey, AZ; sister, Marcia Loomis of MD; step-sisters, Connie Glesner of OR; Beverly Wilson of AZ; Patty Wilson of CA; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
