Rose 'Rosie' Elmore, age 53, passed away June 20, 2014, surrounded by her family, at her home near Hot Springs, SD.

Rosie was born June 24, 1960, in Hot Springs, to Stanley and Margaret (Coates) Englebert. She was the first of three siblings.Rosie grew up in Rapid City and completed secondary education at Douglas High School. She then moved to Evanston, WY, where she was the manager at the local JB's restaurant. There, she met her husband, Marty. They moved to New Mexico, where they lived in Loving and Vaughn. The couple moved back to Sheridan, WY, where Rosie returned to work at JB's and then for the Big Horn National Forest on a trail crew. The family moved to Hot Springs in 1998. Rosie worked in the kitchen at the VA Medical Center for 13 years. During her years in Hot Springs, Rosie and her daughters showed horses in local open shows. After her daughters started showing at the Quarter Horse level, Rosie began managing the Quarter Horse shows in the region, touching the lives of many people.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at McColley's Chapels of the Hills in Hot Springs with Dr. J. Edwin Coates officiating.

Rosie is survived by her husband, Marty of Hot Springs; two daughters, Leslie and Gina both of Hot Springs; mother, Margaret Nachtigall of Owanka, SD; sister, Cissie Englebert of Newcastle WY and brother, Everett Englebert of Burdock, SD; five nephews and one niece. She was preceded in death by her father, Stanley Englebert, her step-father, Dean Nachtigall, her cousin Dean Weisser, and maternal grandparents Leslie and Edna Coates and paternal grandparents William Englebert and Rose Englebert.
