Roy Edward Standen, age 92, of Lincoln, NE, and formerly of Edgemont, SD, passed away June 3, 2016, at the Lancaster Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln.


Roy was born on July 15, 1923, to Glenn and Fern (Taylor) Standen in Edgemont. He served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge. He married the love of his life Eulalie Cutrer on February 23,1946, in Pineville, LA They had one daughter, Marci. Roy worked on the CB&Q, later Burlington Northern Railroad in Edgemont and Alliance, NE, as a Clerk until he retired in 1979.

Roy is survived by his daughter, Marcia (Vernon) Rockey of Lincoln; four grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 11, 2016, at Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Hot Springs. Committal services will follow at the Edgemont Cemetery in Edgemont.
