Russell David 'Rusty Bucket' Hinton, Sr., age 77, of Edgemont, SD, passed away October 15, 2010, at the Rapid City Regional Hospice House in Rapid City, SD.

Russell was born May 3, 1933, in Avon Lake, OH, to David and Delesena (Nichelson) Hinton.

He served in the United States Air Force from January 24, 1952, until retirement and honorable discharge on January 31, 1972. After his service to his Country, Russell served the Lord as a minister for the next twenty years.

He is survived by his wife, Betty of Edgemont; sons, Russell Hinton, Jr. of Columbia, PA; Doug (Tammy) Hinton of East Petersburg, PA; Carl (Pam) Hinton of Manheim, PA; daughter, Connie (Bill Andrews of Shelbyville, TN; step-sons, John Platz of Fresno, CA; Ronald Platz of San Antonio, TX; step-daughter, Kathy (Richard) Young of San Antonio, TX; brothers, Rev. Paul (Mary) Hinton of Holt, FL; Charles Hinton of St. Petersburg, FL; sister, Virginia Joseph of Phoenix, AZ; thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents; son, Danny Hinton; step-son, Carl Platz; sister, Oda Curry and brother, Joseph Hinton.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
