Sally Buchan, 78, of Custer, SD, passed away January 26, 2022, at Monument Health Custer Hospital in Custer, SD. Sally was born January 7, 1944, in Iowa, to Ed and Ella Warnke.

Sally enjoyed 59 years of marriage with her husband, Larry.  Her career spanned over 33 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Restorative Aide, working at the former Custer State Hospital and Colonial Manor in Custer.  Sally had a love for all animals, but was particularly fond of her Maine Coone Cat, Mister Deeds.   Her favorite things included reading, shopping days with Lori and Jakki and being a grandma.

Sally is survived by her husband, Larry of Custer; son, Wade Buchan; daughters, Lori (Bert) Pond; Stephanie (James) Pfister; Nicole (Bill) Skenandore; brother, Tom Smull; grandchildren, Shanna Fischer; Chad Pond; Tyler Buchan; Spencer Buchan; Chanler Buchan; Samanatha Toelke; Jakki Buchan; Perry Sitting Crow Jr; Jesse Sitting Crow; Waylon Sitting Crow; Christopher Buchan; Cheynne Buchan and 14 great grandchildren.

Sally is predeceased by her parents, her son, Jack Buchan; and her brothers, Dick Ruge; Jack Ruge and Jim Smull.
