Sandra J. 'Sandy' Meyer, 57, of Hot Springs, SD passed away Saturday, June 14, 2008 at her home after a seven year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Sandy was born on February 12, 1951 in Amherst, OH to Charles and Lois Greer. She was a graduate of Littleton High School '69 and of Chadron State College '96. She was a member of the Rainbow Girls Assembly and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Sandy married Richard Meyer on December 6, 1975 in Denver, CO. After having three children, they moved to the Black Hills. She was an advocate for the Custer Gifted Program and she enjoyed working the past ten years at Wind Cave National Park.

Survivors include her husband, Richard, of Hot Springs; her parents, Charles and Lois Greer, of Hot Springs; a brother, Rick Greer, of Hot Springs; three children, Erica Meyer of Hot Springs, Nicholas Meyer (wife Michelle) of Crystal, MN, and Lorraine Meyer of Madison, WI; and a grandson, Liam Meyer.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 17 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at McColley's Chapel of the Hills with Pastor Douglas Free and Pastor Bill Russow officiating. Interment will follow at the Pringle Cemetery.
