Sheldon Mathew Walgren, age 70, passed away at his home in Hot Springs, SD, on January 4, 2019.

Sheldon was born on July 10, 1948, in Rushville, NE, to Fredrick M. and Pauline (Eckerle) Walgren. Sheldon proudly served in the United States Navy over ten years.   For thirty years he was control room supervisor at the Wolf Creek Nuclear Power Plant in Burlington, KS.

Sheldon is survived by his son, Shea Walgren and his son, Saul of Haysville, KS; daughter, Sunny Walgren and her children Destiny, Alexis, Justin, Addison, Jordan, Trey, and Hunter of Mulberry, KS; sisters, Debra Johnston of Hot Springs, SD; Paula Stackhouse of Cedar Falls, IA; numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick and Pauline; and brother, Craig.

Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Hot Springs with Rev. Martha Beck officiating.
