Shirley May (Ertel) Carr, 93, of Custer, SD, passed away May 20, 2021, at Monument Health Rapid City Hospital in Rapid City, SD.

Shirley was born August 1, 1927, in Wisconsin, to George and Mayme (Schwartz) Lewig.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Clinton of Custer; sons, John (Gail) Ertel of Custer; Gary (Doris) Ertel of Hillpoint, WI; grandchildren, Jocelynn; Jarrod; Jason; 8 great grandchildren and nieces, Carole and Karen.

Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Custer, SD.  Private family burial will be held at Pringle Cemetery in Pringle, SD.
