IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shirley Ann
Goff
July 5, 1973 – January 11, 2019
Shirley Ann Goff, age 45, of Custer, SD, passed away on January 11, 2019, at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City.
Shirley Ann Goff was born in Woodstown, New Jersey, she was always proud to be a South Jersey girl. She was a farmgirl through and through and she spent her youth helping out on the family farm and going to the rodeo. When her parents moved to Virginia, she went with them and continued helping on their farm. When her mother passed away from cancer, she went on a mission to become a radiation therapist and help cancer patients herself. While in Virginia, she met her husband and they had their wonderful son, Tembrook, together. After a year of marriage, she took the initiative and decided to put her husband through law-school. When he graduated, God led them to the Black Hills of South Dakota where they have had great adventures.
Shirley always held a special place in her heart for her family. Whether it was her husband and son, her siblings, cousins, or her extensive Church family, she loved doing things with her family and being with them. She said many times she didn't want riches or material things, she just wanted to spend time with her family. She loved to travel, and she had adventures everywhere she went.
Though she attended and belonged to various churches in Jersey, Virginia, and South Dakota, she was a child of Christ and had fully accepted Jesus in her heart. Through the past six years she fought cancer knowing Christ was with her. She made the best of her time here on Earth and lived every day to its fullest. Now that she is with her Heavenly Father, she wants everyone to know "I'm better now."
Shirley is survived by her husband, Garland Lee Goff of Custer; son, Tembrook Lee Goff of Custer; sister, Sue Caulfield of Blaine, WA; brothers, Tom Caulfield of Pennsville, NJ; Wendell (Carol) Robinson of Woodstown, NJ. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and grand nieces and nephews who she all loved very much.
She was preceded in death by her Mother Almeda "McCown" Robinson, and her Father Wendell Robinson.
