Stephen Bruce Maxwell, 77, of Edgemont, SD, passed away August 16, 2021, at Fall River Hospital in Hot Springs, SD.
Stephen was born on August 28, 1943 to William and Maxine Maxwell in San Diego, CA. After graduating from Bishop
O'Dowd high school in June 1961, he went on to study at the University of San Francisco. He then enlisted in the U.S.
Navy and served from June 1964 to June 1968. Stephen attended Chabot College in San Leandro, CA and transferred
to Chico State where he graduated.
He worked for Hewlett Packard Medical, and then for 34 years was electrical engineer as a contractor for the US
Airforce in Sacramento CA and Layton, UT. where he retired.
Stephen was predeceased by his Father William Maxwell,
Mother Maxine Brandt Maxwell, Grandparents Ralph and Barbara Brandt, Aunt Rita Brandt, and previous wife Barbara
Maxwell.
Stephen is survived by his wife Marilyn Seramur Maxwell, his high school sweetheart, his Brother Ralph Maxwell, his
children Robin Groen and son-in-law John, Maxine Kite and son-in-law Sean, Stephen Maxwell Jr., daughter-in-law Amber,                                  Carey Jenkins son-in-law Gary, grandchildren, and great grandchild and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 19, 2021, at St. James Catholic Church in Edgemont, SD.

Christian Funeral Vigil  will be held 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 19, 2021, at St. James Catholic Church in Edgemont, SD.

Christian Funeral Mass  will be held 9:00 a.m., Friday, August 20, 2021, at St. James Catholic Church in Edgemont, SD.

Christian Funeral Committal will be held at a later date at Black Hills National Cemetery, near Sturgis, SD, with full military honors.
