Steven E. 'Steve' Peters, 64, of Hot Springs, SD, formerly of Glasgow, KY, fell asleep in death on January 24, 2018. He is left in Jehovah's memory awaiting his resurrection to a Paradise earth (John 5:28,29).
Steve was born to Jerome and Bernice (Marquardt) Peters on March 7, 1953, in West Bend, WI. He married Barbara Brandon on March 16, 1974, and they raised three amazing children. He dedicated his life to Jehovah on April 12, 2009. He was a member of the Hot Springs Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses since October 2017, formerly of the East Glasgow Kentucky Congregation.
Steve was a devoted family man who enjoyed tinkering in his shop, working on cars, riding his motorcycle, and sharing in the ministry. Steve served in the US Air Force from 1972 to 1976, primarily in the Transportation Division at Norad, Cheyenne Mountain, Colorado. After his discharge he mainly worked construction, even starting his own business, Steve's Carpentry.
Steve is survived by his wife, Barbara; his three children, Christopher Peters of Hot Springs; Jennifer Haskins (Deon) of Glasgow, KY; Anthony "Tony" Peters (Serena) of Glasgow, KY; mother, Bernice Peters of Kewaskum, WI; two brothers, Gary Peters (Sue) of West Bend, WI; Brian Peters (Dawn) of Appleton, WI; two sisters, Judy Markestad (John) of Portage, WI; Donna Kreis (Roger) of Adell, WI; and sister-in-law, Kathy Peters of West Bend, WI.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jerome Peters; and two brothers, Ken and David Peters.
At Steve's request, no memorial services will be held.
